OceanStor SmartTier 25 SAS vs 72 NLSAS

Does storage understand, if real performance of "SAS Tier" is slowly than "NLSAS Tier" ?

For example:  write ratio - 25%

DiskDomain: 25 SAS disk + 72 NLSAS disk

Storage Pool: SAS Tier - "4+1 RAID5" + "4+2 RAID6"

Classic formula for calculate performance:

NLSAS tier performance higher = 5130 IOPS

Does SmartTier conside this information ?

Hi,

SmartTier does not focus on the overall IOPS of a single tier, but focuses on which layer of the same I/O model has better performance (I/O latency). Although NL-SAS disks have higher overall IOPS, SAS disks can read and write the same data faster.

Yes, i know that. Hence, the HOT data is moved to the Performance tier, which is actually slowly, that Capacity Tier ?
