This is a case about OceanStor Dorado V6 series DSM fails to start.
Symptoms
The customer manually removes and inserts the two controllers, causing the startup failure. Log in to the controller and enter the minisystem mode. The status of the switch failure is DSM startwork.
Cause
After the controller is reset unexpectedly, the DSM module in the system fails to be restored.
Analysis
1. Run the showsysstatus command in minisystem mode to check whether the controller you have logged in to is the master controller. That is, the role of the current node is master.
2. Run the sys.sh showflowtrace command in minisystem mode on the MPU to check whether the flow ID is 2.
3. Log in to the minisystem mode of all controllers and run the sys.sh showflowtrace 2 command to check whether the power-on failure phase is FAIL ACTION: DSMStartWork.
Run the plog.sh showstatus command in minisystem mode to check whether dirty data exists on the UMM and the dirty data status fails to be restored.
Solution
Clear the dirty data flag and power on the switch again.
1. Run the stream.sh deletedb all command on any controller.
2. After the command is successfully executed, run the plog.sh forcepoweron command.
3. Run the rebootsys command to restart the controllers in minisystem mode. Wait until the controller is powered on again.
Post-Recovery Check
Run the showsysstatus command to check whether all controllers are in the Normal state.
