NordVPN, NordLynx - Huawei EchoLife HG8245U - Firmware Update

Hi there.


How to configure Huawei Echolife HG8245U in Slovakia with NordVPN. 

Huawei Echolife HG8245U is a standard optical router for several years.


Orange ISP in Slovakia country - adds Huawei Echolife HG8245U optical connection with the bundle to the "Orange Home Optic Internet called Fibernet +Tv+VoIP calling".

Huawei Echolife HG8245U is like a multimedia hub for everything with the optical direct master for the main key public internet network "All in One Device".


Huawei Echolife HG8245U is used by millions of people all around the World and I don't have an option with direct support from NordVPN or protocols with NordVPN like NordLynx, OpenVPN. 

It would be really cool to have a firmware update to support these new VPN protocols.

First of all, you need to understand the reality. This is an Optical Network Terminal which is an access network device, but not an off-site networking equipment.
Secondly, it is best to take a look at your firmware version. I am not talking about the version number. I mean the software feature template. The firmware template has not been updated for several years. Why do you think they will change it for a less significance VPN feature.
Finally, my suggestion is that you better buy a VPN dedicated device and stop wasting time on fantasy these unrealistic ONT features.

Answer from an unimportant Huawei customer who has no relation with Huawei officials at all.
