Hi All.
I'm new to all this and thought I'd ask questions before I buy. (Better safe than sorry)
I'm looking at possibly installing a Huawei Luna system.
My reasons for doing this is to reduce my house expenditure on electricity and to be more environmentally friendly.
I live in a 4 bedroomed house (2 story) with an unobstructed SSW facing pitched roof. (in Suffolk UK)
There's currently just 2 of us living here and my smart meter indicates that I use 12 - 14 KWh daily.
I think I should easily be able to fit 12 panels on the roof.
I'm thinking that I should get two battery panels + controller/inverter.
With this in mind, I'm hopeful that in the sunny months, I would be drawing almost nothing from the grid and in the winter months, I should only need to draw from a night time tariff.
My questions:
Are my thoughts so far, realistic?
Are the controls (App) for this system very comprehensive and flexible? (I am a technical person)
Will this system allow me to export excess power to the grid (possibly for profit/credit)?
Who/What is the better supplier/tariff for my needs?
Am I likely to have spare power for charging an EV (in the future)?
I'm aware this system will have the ability to supply power during a power cut.
Is there anything else I should be aware of, or are there features I may not have heard of yet?
Thank you in advance
