HiCoins as reward: 0 (problem unresolved)

Hi All.

I'm new to all this and thought I'd ask questions before I buy. (Better safe than sorry)

I'm looking at possibly installing a Huawei Luna system.

My reasons for doing this is to reduce my house expenditure on electricity and to be more environmentally friendly.

I live in a 4 bedroomed house (2 story) with an unobstructed SSW facing pitched roof. (in Suffolk UK)

There's currently just 2 of us living here and my smart meter indicates that I use 12 - 14 KWh daily.

I think I should easily be able to fit 12 panels on the roof.

I'm thinking that I should get two battery panels + controller/inverter.

With this in mind, I'm hopeful that in the sunny months, I would be drawing almost nothing from the grid and in the winter months, I should only need to draw from a night time tariff.

My questions:

Are my thoughts so far, realistic?

Are the controls (App) for this system very comprehensive and flexible? (I am a technical person)

Will this system allow me to export excess power to the grid (possibly for profit/credit)?

Who/What is the better supplier/tariff for my needs?

Am I likely to have spare power for charging an EV (in the future)?

I'm aware this system will have the ability to supply power during a power cut.

Is there anything else I should be aware of, or are there features I may not have heard of yet?

Thank you in advance

Hello, friend.

Your idea is realistic and yes, the controls (applications) of the system are very comprehensive and flexible. FusionSolar supports web clients and applications. You can use the FusionSolar app to create a plant, manage devices, query alarms, and perform routine maintenance. For details, see the FusionSolar App and SUN2000 App User Manual. https://support.huawei.com/enterprise/en/doc/EDOC1100096889/e8811ed?idPath=9452479|21439560|7921563|21102414|21571652

Allows you to output excess power to the grid, and when set to Time-of-Use Rate, you can discharge at high prices and charge at low prices. It may be possible in the future to charge electric vehicles with excess power, but it is not yet possible.

Hi gzzz

Thank you for your answer.
It's good to get some feedback on my thoughts.
I had hoped that other people who already have solar/storage would have also responded, to gather real world input.
It's easier to answer or even think about what questions to ask when one already has experience.
