I have an S5720 switch with the following command on an interface interface GigabitEthernet0/0/7
description DATA and VOIP
port link-type hybrid
port hybrid pvid vlan 220
port hybrid tagged vlan 230
port hybrid untagged vlan 220
loopback-detect enable
stp edged-port enable

when l plug a laptop  l get an ip adress on data Vlan 220 which is fine, l can ping anything.
when l give the laptop an IP from Vlan 230(voice) l cant ping any IP incuding the Vlan 230 gateway. what is wrong with my configuration

As you configuration described,
port hybrid tagged vlan 230
The packets that come from the VLAN 230 are tagged, please do check if you have enabled the laptop to support the tagged packets.

i cant ping the voice gateway from the voice vlan but l can ping it from the data vlan

The Vlan 230 is tagged, Did your PC supports VLANs? If yes, do you enabled the vlan in the PC?
