The networking modes supported by S5000, T series, and OceanStor 18000 series storage systems are as follows:

Internet Protocol storage area network (IP SAN): indicates a storage area network that uses Ethernet switches to interconnect application servers, application server clusters, and storage systems. The Internet Small Computer Systems Interface (iSCSI) is used as the communications protocol among application servers, application server clusters, and SAN storage devices.
Fibre Channel storage area network (FC SAN): indicates a storage area network that uses FC switches to interconnect application servers, application server clusters, and storage systems. The FC protocol is used as the communications protocol among application servers, application server clusters, and storage devices.
Seamless mixed networking of FC SAN and IP SAN: indicates a storage area network that uses FC switches and Ethernet switches to interconnect application servers, application server clusters, and storage systems. The iSCSI and FC protocols are used as the communications protocols among application servers, application server clusters, and storage devices.
