Hello, everyone!
Today, I'd like to share you NCE network design principle.
Background
To improve network security and balance traffic on service interfaces, NCE divides the network into multiple isolated network planes, such as the management network and service network (including northbound network and southbound network).
Object | Network Plane | bond | Network Port | Relevant IP Address | Description |
iBMC | Management network | - | Management port | IP address of the iBMC management module | You can use the IP address of the iBMC management module to remotely log in to the server in web mode to manage and maintain the server hardware. For example, when you remotely install the OS or the OS cannot be started properly, you can log in to the server through this IP address to maintain the server. |
Node | Northbound network | bond0 | eth0/eth4 | NCE client login IP address | This IP address is used to connect to the OSS, and log in to the client. |
Southbound network | bond2 | eth2/eth6 | NCE southbound network IP address | This IP address is used to connect to southbound devices.
Internal communications network | bond1 | eth1/eth5 | NCE internal communications IP address | •This IP address is used for NCE to access the database. •You are advised to set the IP address of the internal communications network to a private IP address.
DR network | - | - | NCE replication IP address | •This IP address is used to check the network connection status and data replication between the primary and secondary sites. •The Replication network reuses the Internal communications network. |
