When trying to import the license files, the message 'Operation successful' appears, but we cannot see the license after that message in the License Management tab.
1. Check the SN provided from the client and saw that it was from the server, not for BCManager. On ESDP, the SN is possible to have been introduced incorrectly.
2. Check if the SN is for correct product.
The next step is to find the correct SN of the BC MANAGER, like in the below procedures.
Obtaining the OceanStor BCManager eReplication ESN
When applying for a license, use the ESN generated by the OcenaStor BCManager eReplication system to ensure that the application license file is valid. Otherwise, the application license file fails to pass the validity check and cannot be loaded to the OcenaStor BCManager eReplication system.
Obtaining the ESN on Linux
Step 1. If the software package is used for installation, log in to the server via OceanStor BCManager eReplication configured as user ICUser (default password: Huawei@CLOUD8).
When you use a remote client to connect to Linux, you cannot directly log in as user ICUser. You must log in to the server with OceanStor BCManager eReplication configured as user DRManager, and run su ICUser to switch to the user ICUser (default password: Huawei@CLOUD8).
Step 2. Run sh esn.sh to obtain the ESN.
The method of obtaining the ESN in centralized deployment mode:
Go to the /installation path/Runtime/LegoRuntime/tools directory and run sh esn.sh to obtain the ESN.
If the server has multiple network adapters, multiple ESNs are generated. When applying for the license, separate them by commas.
The method of obtaining the ESN in distributed deployment mode:
The method is similar to that of obtaining the ESN in centralized deployment mode. Run sh esn.sh on the local and remote servers to obtain their respective ESNs. Separate the ESNs of the two servers by a comma and use the combined SN to apply for the license
Obtaining the ESN in Windows
Step 1. Log in to the server with OceanStor BCManager eReplication configured as an administrator.
Step 2. Run esn.bat to obtain the ESN.
The method of obtaining the ESN in centralized deployment mode:
After entering the console, go to the \installation path\Runtime\LegoRuntime\tools directory and run esn.bat to obtain the ESN.
If the server has multiple network adapters, multiple ESNs are generated. When applying for the license, separate them by commas.
The method of obtaining the ESN in distributed deployment mode:
The method is similar to that of obtaining the ESN in centralized deployment mode. Run sh esn.bat on the local and remote servers to obtain their respective ESNs. Separate the ESNs of the two servers by a comma and use the combined SN to apply for the license.
