Hello all,

I'm studying the NE8000 hardware, and in the manual I can see this schematic diagram for the NetEngine 8000 M8 data forwarding process:

NE8K-M8-Data Forwarding

And in the NAT Traffic Divertion section, we can see when a packet match against an ACL to do the NAT, traffic is diverted to the NAT Service Board.

My doubts:

- Where is the NAT service board located in the data forwarding picture? (IPU, each PFE)

- What is the performance (bandwidth, pps, sessions per second) of the service board? Are there any kind of limitation?

Could you guys help me?

Regards,

Rafael

Hi,
I checked with the R&D guys, the NAT function is supported since V800R012C10, which is not released yett. I'll confirm that while the version is released.

Hi,
The NAT service doesn't locate in the picutre, I think. As in NE40E, the NAT service provided by the NAT service board, and traffic will be redirect to the NAT service board. For the second question, you are recommended to contact with the presale engineer to get the parameter.

But I still have two questions about NAT SB in the NE8K M8:

a) Where is it located ? IPU? Integrated at SFU?

b) Performance. As I know, each LPU can have 200Gb/s to SFU. And how about NAT SB?
