NE40E Series is a kind of a carrier level equipment, which means it should support a variety of features and hardware to provide any means of communication, including but not limited:
- WDM Interconnect
- Legacy TDM (FR/ATM)
- LAN/WAN – 10/40/50G slots
Software is more powerful than AR routers, and support latest MPLS enhancements and larger spaces for MAC/IP/IPv6.
Where to use – Branch office/Branch Internet Border with requirements mentioned above, HQ Access/WAN termination layer.
