Which max throughput on ne40 with cgnat license enabled, using ne40 exclusively for cgnat, nat444?  Scenario with 254 public ips for 8 thousand private ips, I can reach 40gbps of trougput ? please the question is clear, hardware capacity and no discussion of scenario, there will be no competing services.

Hi Tessaro,

Yes, it is possible. Please use appropriate fabric card for packet forwarding. If you are using VSUF-80, please add a 20G license on top of it as by default it's capacity is 20Gbps and adding a license can increase it by 20 Gbps. Following board information may be helpful to you:

Hi User,

The NetEngine40E supports a variety of IPv6 features including IPv6 leased line, dual stack, tunneling, and translation. The NetEngine40E supports Next-Hop Separation to optimize the IPv6 convergence time and supports larger IPv6 FIB and CGN cards of 160-gigabit throughput to improve the scalability. These help to provide comprehensive solutions for high performance during the transition from IPv6 to IPv4 and allow each provider to determine their transition strategy most suitable for their own network.

Yes you can have upto 16 million NAT sessions or 160Gbps of line processing rate based on your licence and VSU card.

NAT is supported only by following VSUFs

VSUF-80s  (80Gbps Line rate),

VSUF-160s (160Gbps Line rate)

VSUI-160-Es(160Gbps Line rate)

you also have to take care of your Line cards,  NAT is supported only on following Line Cards

LPUI-51-Es,

LPUF-51-Es,

and LPUI-51-Ss.
