When we use Huawei NE series routers, we sometimes encounter problems. How can these problems be solved? We provide the Troubleshooting Guide to help you.
If you encounter the FTP Transmission Fails, perform the following steps:
1. Check whether the source or destination directory of an FTP connection contains non-English characters.
§ If the directory contains non-English characters, modify the directory.
§ If the directory does not contain non-English characters, go to Step 2.
2. Check whether the number of files in the root directory of the FTP server has reached the upper threshold.
At present, a maximum of 40 files can be stored in the root directory of the FTP server. When the number of files in the root directory of the FTP server reaches 40 and unnecessary files are not cleared, new files cannot be stored.
Run the dir command on the FTP server to view the number of files in the root directory of the FTP server.
§ If the root directory of the FTP server contains 40 files, run the delete command in the user view to delete unnecessary files to release the storage space.
§ If the root directory of the FTP server contains fewer than 40 files, go to Step 3.
3. Check that the available space in the root directory of the FTP server is sufficient.
Run the dir command on the FTP server to view the available space in the root directory of the FTP server.
§ If there is no sufficient space, run the delete command in the user view to delete unnecessary files.
§ If there is sufficient space, go to Step 4.
4. Collect the following information and contact Huawei technical support personnel.
§ Results of the preceding troubleshooting procedures.
§ Configuration files, log files, and alarm files of the devices.
