When we use Huawei NE series routers, we sometimes encounter problems. How can these problems be solved? We provide the Troubleshooting Guide to help you.
If you encounter the Failure to Interconnect a 1588v2/G.8275.1-capable Device and an Atom GPS Module, perform the following steps:
1. Check whether the time is locked to the GPS time.
Run the display smart-clock interface interface-name command to check the running status of the Atom GPS module.
§ If the value of neither the Freq lock success nor Time lock success field is no and the value of the clock-class field is 6, go to Step 2.
§ If the values of both the Freq lock success and Time lock success fields are no and the value of the clock-class field is not 6, the clock source is invalid. In this case, go to Step 4.
2. Check whether the domain where the device resides is the same as that of the Atom GPS module.
Run the display ptp all command to check whether Domain value of the device is the same as that of the Atom GPS module.
§ If not, run the ptp domain domain-value command as planned to configure the device and Atom GPS module to be in the same clock domain. If the fault persists, go to Step 3.
§ If yes, go to Step 3.
3. (Only for G.8275.1)Check whether the notslave attribute of the interface is false.
Run the display ptp all config command to check whether the ptp notslave disable command is set for interfaces on both sides.
§ If not, run the ptp notslave disable command in the interface view as planned. If the fault persists, go to Step 4.
§ If yes, go to Step 4.
4. Collect the following information and contact Huawei technical support personnel:
§ Results of the preceding procedure
§ Configuration, log, and alarm files of the device
