164 0 0 0 0

When we use Huawei NE series routers, we sometimes encounter problems. How can these problems be solved? We provide the Troubleshooting Guide to help you.

If you encounter A User Fails to Establish a Netconf Session, perform the following steps:

1.       Check the SSH connection.

Run the display ssh server status command to check whether the SSH connection is successful.

<HUAWEI> display ssh server status

SSH Version                                : 1.99

SSH authentication timeout (Seconds)       : 60

SSH authentication retries (Times)         : 3

SSH server key generating interval (Hours) : 0

SSH version 1.x compatibility              : Enable

SSH server keepalive                       : Disable

SFTP server                                : Disable

STELNET server                             : Disable

SNETCONF server                            : Enable

SNETCONF server port(830)                  : Disable

SCP server                                 : Enable

SSH server port                            : 22

ACL name                                   :

ACL number                                 :

ACL6 name                                  :

ACL6 number                                :

SSH server source address                  : 0.0.0.0

If SNETCONF server is displayed as Disable in the command output, the SSH connection fails. For details about how to troubleshoot the failure, see the chapter "SSH Troubleshooting" in the document. If SNETCONF server is displayed as Enable in the command output, go to Step 2.

2.       Check whether client and server can exchange hello packets.

Run the display netconf session command and check whether the NETCONF session is established successfully. If the session is established successfully, hello packets are successfully exchanged between the client and server, go to Step 3.

<HUAWEI> display netconf session
