Problem Description
Two NE80E/40Es, Router A and Router B, are connected using POS interfaces. A master/slave MPU/SRU switchover fails to be performed on Router A. The following information is displayed:

Caution!!! Confirm switch slave to master[Y/N]?y
Error:Slave is not ready, try the command again after a while!
Problem Analysis
A master/slave MPU/SRU switchover can be performed only when the following three conditions are satisfied:
· The slave MPU/SRU is installed and running properly.
· The master MPU/SRU has backed up data to the slave MPU/SRU in batches.
· The master/slave switchover function is enabled.
Procedure
1. Run the display switchover state command to check whether the current device meets the master/slave switchover requirements.
<RouterA> display switchover state
Error:The command is disabled, you must enable it first.
The preceding information indicates that the master/slave switchover function is not enabled.
2. Run the slave switchover enable command to enable a master/slave switchover.
3. Run the display switchover state command to check whether the current device meets the master/slave switchover requirements.
<RouterA> display switchover state
Info:HA FSM State, Realtime and routine backup.
The preceding information indicates that the master MPU/SRU is ready for master/slave switchover: the slave MPU/SRU has been installed and works properly, and master MPU has backed up files to the slave MPU/SRU in batches.
4. Run the slave switchover command to perform a master/slave switchover.
[RouterA] slave switchover
Caution!!! Confirm switch slave to master[Y/N]?Y
The switchover is performed successfully and the fault is rectified.
