This time, I will share with you a case about NE is abnormally reset.
The problem description
After the OSN1500&2500 is running for two years, the NE is abnormally reset after the virtual board is removed or the command is sent.
Problem scenario
The OSN1500&2500 has run for two years.
Problem impact
The NE is abnormally reset and becomes unreachable to the NMS for a short period of time.
The root cause of the problem
Since the platform periodically invokes the product to check whether the board position is online, the product host code obtains the BDM module pointer continuously. As a result, a long integer count value that is constantly incremented by one, thus turning it into a negative number. When the virtual board is removed, or the query module command is issued, or the DMM debugging command is issued, triggers NE removes the BDM module when the count value is negative, so that other tasks using the BDM module pointer reset abnormally.
The live network evasive measures
For network elements that have been running more than two years, manually soft reset the master.
The current network solutions
Upgrade to V1R10C03SPH229 or V1R10C03SPC231.
