Today, I'd like to share a case.
Problem Description
Users of U2000 with no administrator operation rights can't operate with Native Ethernet service, buttons in U2000 are not active for such users.
Administrator can't add Native Ethernet operation set for users because this choice is unavailable
Problem Analysis
First it was suggested that database of U2000 has some problem, so MSuite database in text mode was checked. It can be retrieved from U2000 MSuite by "Backup and Restore->Backup System Data->Data Backup-Text Mode"
Then processes in U2000 System Monitor were checked and found that process Nml_vlan is not present in process list. Nml_vlan process is responsible for Native Ethernet Service operation and maintenance.
Root Cause
Because of error in table of U2000 database process Nml_vlan can not start properly. This error could occur during upgrade from V1R6 ro V1R8
Solution Description
To restore the database it's neccessary to redeploy the instance "nml_vlan_server" through U2000 Maintenance Suite.
For it we just need to delete nml_vlan_server instance and add it again. How to do it please refer to document attached
