My Router Not Working Well

Hello,

I am using the Huawei modem because I am thinking better router than others after all I was need to give it to my friend and use a different modem. I am using HG658 V2. Can I use VDSL with it?

and my problem is I was using a different modem I get like 17mbps speed and I get now 14 Mbps with your router HG658 V2.

I don't know why I get so less speed? and you know a different modem gave me about max speed 25mbps and your modem gives 19mbps. Do you know how I can fix this? I mean why your router gives so bad speed with it? I want to use the Huawei router. please help me.
