You need to check whether your NE can be pinged. If the ping succeeds, the possible causes are as follows:
Possible cause 1
When a user adds an NE, the gateway type is set to IP gateway instead of SSL gateway.
Operation Procedure
Delete the NE and add it again. When adding an NE, set Gateway Type to SSL Gateway.
Possible cause 2
The connection between the Web LCT and the NE is interrupted or has been interrupted before. As a result, the NE communication is abnormal. The Web LCT does not provide the function of automatically reconnecting NEs. If the communication between the Web LCT and the NE is interrupted, the communication status of the NE is Communication Abnormal.
Operation Procedure
1. Log in to the Web LCT.
2. In the NE list, right-click an NE and choose Reconnect from the shortcut menu. If the communication between the Web LCT and the NE is restored, Communication Status changes to Normal. If Communication Status is still Abnormal, check whether the NE startup status and network connection status are normal.
If the NE cannot be pinged, check whether the link is normal.
