Here, on the Huawei Enterprise Community, we value passion and excellence in all forms Because of this reason, we've decided to interview our MVE members in order to get to know them better and find out what drives them the most in life.
This week we'll get to know more about Luiz Puppin, also known as @LuizPuppin in the English Huawei Enterprise Community. For the past 15 years, he’s been working the communication networks with major manufacturers. He also has extensive knowledge in providing training and consulting on the various platforms he managed, especially in MPLS edge and backbone equipment. Luiz Specializes in Network Security, Transport BackBone, MPLS, VPLS, MPLS-TE, VPWS, CGNAT, BGP Edge and IPv6.
Q1. How would you describe yourself in only three words?
Methodical, friendly and focused.
Q2. Choices define us. Why did you choose a technical path?
With only 15 years old I had to choose a technical training, and the options that were presented to me that most resembled my profile was ICT
Q3. What do you enjoy the most about your field?
I love to solve problems by teaching client network administrators the best practices for the ideal functioning of their environments.
Q4. What do you enjoy the least about your field?
Many people in our field who do not study enough and sell themselves like the kings of telecom.
Q5. What was the most challenging part about a project you were working on, in the past?
Plan and implement in just 12 months the entire information security environment and ICT for Command Centers and Public Safety Control 2014 World Cup.
Q6. What about your favorite part?
The best part was seeing the entire environment ready in time for the games and knowing that public safety in the host cities was greatly benefited by our actions.
Q7. What professional certification are your most proud of and why?
It was Extreme Networks' ECE, because our team only had 30 days to study and perform the test, without ever having had previous contact with this manufacturer's equipment.
Q8. What was your motivation to pass this certification?
This certification was a mandatory requirement to carry out the largest project that we could imagine that we would participate at the time.
Q9. How did you prepare for the exams?
We received the study material and had a few classes with a certified instructor.
Q10. Do you feel like this certification has helped you encounter better career opportunities? If yes, how?
Yes, because it allowed us to execute the project mentioned in record time and without major problems.
Q11. What about your work? Tell us about a moment when you achieved something great!
In the last 2 years, the entire VLSM training class that I finish and receive from students the feedback that we have managed to transform their ISP's network with the knowledge that I was able to transmit.
Q12. Do you have any advice for those who are initiates in the technical domain?
Always study, because in our area, no matter how much we study we always find that we have something more to evolve.
Q13. Where do you see yourself five years from now?
I intend to improve my training and further increase the transfer of knowledge to our ISP market in the coming years.
Q14. What do you like the most about being a member of the MVE team?
What I like most about the MVE Team is the possibility of having contact with people from all over the world willing to share their knowledge in the Huawei forum and with the most diverse life experiences.
