Multiple Times Auto Switching Off Connected Devices by Huawei HG8245H Router

Hello, everyone! 

My router is connected to around 11 devices in my house which includes TV, Mobiles, and PC. The router frequently disconnects other devices as per our own wish in a day and during the process, we lose signals on few devices for around 5 to 10 minutes. Then later it becomes Ok. My router is connected through a 3M distribution box in which fiber optics provided by ISP are connected.

I asked my ISP to resolve the issue as the device was provided by ISP as a package. They said after checking that router is Ok, it just changes security keys automatically hence we lose signals on devices.

I contacted Huawei Online support and they say that ISP will resolve it.

Can anyone experience help me with this issue?

Hello, 


The Wi-Fi connection is unstable. perform the following steps:


1.Check the Wi-Fi signal strength on your terminal. If the signal strength is weak, you may be far away from the signal source or an obstacle exists, and you are advised to get closer to the ONT.


2. Get far away from Wi-Fi signal interference sources such as microwave ovens and cordless phones.


3. Try Wi-Fi connection on another terminal. If this problem does not occur, there may be a problem with the driver or hardware of your original terminal. Then you are advised to update the driver of the Wi-Fi network adapter and check whether the hardware is damaged.


4. Change the Wi-Fi name (SSID). Duplicate SSIDs may exist within your terminal reach.


5. Some viruses may exist and cause the disconnection. You are advised to test viruses by connecting only one computer and run antivirus software.



Huawei ONT needs to be used with OLT and network management. The version must match the model. If the wrong version is used, ONT will not work.If you need to download firmware/software, please contact the operator or sales channel to obtain the correct ONT firmware/software
