Dear friend!
The line boards of the MSTP equipment mainly consist of SDH boards and packet processing boards. The common feature of these boards is that one or more interfaces are used to connect optical fibers and cables from remote sites. Tributary boards include PDH boards (including processing boards and interface boards), Ethernet boards (including processing boards, interface boards, and packet interface boards).
A line board is an interface board and a service processing board. For a tributary board, if it has no client-side service interface, it is only a processing board (such as PQ1 and EFS0). If it has client-side service interfaces, it is a tributary service interface board.
You need to know a concept: According to the signals processed by the boards, the boards can be classified into line boards and tributary boards. Boards are classified into processing boards and interface boards based on their physical structure.
Generally, a board can be a processing board and an interface board at the same time, but cannot be a line board or a tributary board at the same time.
Thank you!
