Hi,
The implementation of MPLS VPN requires the following components:
· IGP: Configure an IGP (OSPF or IS-IS) within the MPLS VPN backbone network to generate internal routes to implement connectivity on the backbone network.
· VPN instance: On the PEs, create a VPN instance to connect to each customer, associate each VPN instance with an RD and an RT, and bind an interface to each matching VPN instance.
· PE-CE routing protocol: On the PEs, enable a PE-CE routing protocol to learn site-specific VPN routes from CEs.
· MP-BGP connection: Establish an MP-BGP connection between the PEs. Each PE imports the routes learned from the CEs into the MP-BGP routing table, creates VPNv4 prefixes, and sends the VPNv4 prefixes to the peer PE. In addition, each PE imports VPNv4 prefixes from the peer PE to local VPN instances.
· MPLS and LDP: Enable MPLS and LDP on all the PEs and P so that customer data can traverse through the MPLS VPN backbone network.
