Key Word
Mouse delay
Issue Description
When I log in to the desktop cloud in SC mode, share files on the PC, and copy the shared files from the PC to the virtual desktop, the mouse has a delay on the VM. The PC is connected to the 100 Mbit/s network.
Solution
For this type of user experience problems, learn about the test scenario first.
A: The PC is connected to the 1,000 Mbit/s network and large files are shared on the PC. Log in to the virtual desktop from a PC in SC mode and copy shared files to the virtual desktop. The problem does not recur.
B: The PC is connected to the 100 Mbit/s network. Repeat the same operations. Collect the network delay of the WI server on the PC or view the round-trip delay on the toolbar on the virtual desktop. The delay is 300 to 500 ms. Therefore, we can confirm that continuous large file copying causes network congestion, long network delay, and poor user experience (mouse delay).
1. Enable file redirection on FusionAccess and enable the fixed drive on the client.
2. In the bandwidth policy, enable file redirection bandwidth control and set a proper value.
3. Save the policy, synchronize the policy to the HDC, and log in to the virtual desktop again.
4. If the policy does not take effect, upgrade the Agent and Client of the VM from the R6C00 and R6C00SPC100 versions to the R6C00SPC101 version. For the R5C30SPC100 version, upgrade the Agent and Client of the VM to the R5C30SPC108 version.
5. After the upgrade is complete, perform the test again. The bandwidth policy takes effect. The issue is resolved.
