Monitor PMU 01B

Latest reply: Oct 29, 2021 02:29:14 564 10 0 0 0

Hello Dear Community!

I'm trying to monitor the pmu through the OLT MA5608T creating an EMU interface, but the status is at "failure"

Command used in OLT

emu add 3 POWER4830L 0 3

Switch DIP
on: 1,2
off: 3,4,5,6,7,8

Did I forget configure something ?

As for the environment hardware, I still need to confirm whether the cables you are using are delivered with Huawei.
RJ45 cables include straight-through cables and crossover cables. These monitoring cables support only straight-through cables or customized cable sequences.
Generally, different environment solutions have dedicated cables. For some boards, common straight-through cables cannot be used. The cable sequence is customized.

Hello, friend!

Because the information you provide is limited, I cannot accurately locate the fault. Only one solution is found in the application scenario of the 4830L power supply. Check whether the environment monitoring solution is as follows:

https://support.huawei.com/carrier/docview!docview?nid=DOC1000090963&topicId=59b2efaa

You can check the hardware by referring to the solution. Ensure that the hardware connection is correct.

If no error is found, change the sixth bit of the DIP switch to on. Then, check whether the fault is rectified.

Thanks!

Hello Chenxintao, thanks for your reply.

I don't have permission to access that link   , so can you send me some screenshot ? or an e-mail ? flaviosouza1993@hotmail.com. If not, do you know what pinout of the cable between 4830L and the OLT ?

I connected a 568-B UTP cable on the OLT side to the ESC port and the other side to the RS485 port with 568-B as well. On the EPMU DIP switch it looked like this:

1 to 2 - on

3 to 5 - off

6 - on

7 to 8 - off

and in OLT I used the commands:

emu baudrate 9600
emu add 1 POWER4830L 0 3

And didn't work, when I run the display command, it returns emu 1 fault

Hi, friend!

Based on the information you provided, I can't tell, but based on previous cases, the fault is usually caused by incorrect cable connections.

If you can, provide the wiring diagram of the communications cable between the monitoring unit and the host.

I am sorry and thanks!

Hi,

According to the connection diagram provided by you, the two serial ports of the device power supply are normal unless the cable sequence is incorrect. The straight-through cable is normal for the power monitoring.

I think the error may be caused by the main control board. Please give me some time to analyze it.
