Metric calculation in BGP attribute for inside path - In Huawei Router

Dear,

As in cisco and Alcatel Lucent Routers, both are diffrent in accepting metric attribute in BGP.

For Cisco Router low metric is most desirable for route selection.

For Alcatel Lucent high metric is most desirable for route selection.


Just wanted to know whats in case with Huawei Router ?

Hi,
On the Huawei device, the route with the smallest MED/metric value is preferred.
Please refer to the BGP Route Selection Rules.
