MD1 is TDM or Packet board

Hello.
I find in HedEx that MD1 is a packet board while it is E1 board.,,
Is MD1 a TDM or Packet board?

Hello dear Asim.

The MD1 is a packet board it changes 32E1 into packet and then to the crossconnect that forward it to the line board which is a packet NNI port.

The MD1 uses CES (circuit emulation ) to transmit TDM over packet .
So it is a packet board .

Also when you make configuration for an E1 on the MD1 you create a PW Eline not juat as TDM-E1 that needs VC12 when configuring .
