Latest reply: Jan 17, 2019 09:04:00 290 2 0 0 0

Symptom

The MCU fails to register with the GK.

Possible Causes

  • The network is faulty.
  • GK registration settings are inconsistent.
  • The IP address of the MCU is in the restricted network segment of the GK.

Troubleshooting

  • The network is faulty.

Run ping to check the connection between the GK and MCU, and ask the network administrator to check the network and rectify the fault.

  • GK registration settings are inconsistent.

Log in to the MCU using the CLI. Run display gk to check the parameters used for GK registration, specifically, whether GK enable is set to enable, and whether the GK IP address is correct.

If the preceding settings are inconsistent with those on the GK, run system-view gk-config to change the settings. After the change, ensure that the settings on the MCU and the GK are consistent.

  • The IP address of the MCU is in the restricted network segment of the GK.

Change the restricted network segment of the GK.

you can also make sure from :

Check whether the MCU connection type is set to SMC2.0/IMS.
Log in to the MCU web interface and choose Settings > System > Connection Management.

Check whether the same port is specified on the SMC2.0 and MCU for their connection.
Log in to the MCU web interface, choose Settings > System > Connection Management, and check the value of Port.
Log in to the SMC2.0 web interface, select the MCU you want to check, click Edit MCU, and change the value of Port to the port number that you see in the previous step.
Click Save and check whether the MCU gets online. If it is still offline, repeat 3.
Check whether the same connection mode and password are specified on the SMC2.0 and MCU for their connection.
Log in to the MCU web interface and choose Settings > System > Connection Management.
Check the values of Connection mode and Connection password.

Log in to the SMC2.0 web interface, select the MCU you want to check, and click Edit MCU.
