User facing issue on MCU failing to register with SMC2.0

Root Cause

SMC2.0 failed to communicate with the MCU


Configuring the MCU

  1. Log in as admin user in MCU web interface
  2. Choose Settings > System > HTTPS.
  3. Select or deselect Support HTTPS.Depending on your encryption requirement
  4. Setting the service connection parameters
  5. Click OK > Choose no restart MCU
  6. Settings > H.323 and SIP.
    On the Gatekeeper tab, set the GK parameters described
  7. OK

    Configuring the SMC

  1. Log in to the SMC2.0 web interface.
  2. Devices > MCU > More > AddUnmanageable MCU.
  3. Set the MCU parameters 
  4. Save

    Noted : On the MCU, you must set the service connection parameters and register the MCU with a GK.
