Possible reasons for
There is no connection between MCU and SMC.
The MCU has been added to manage devices.
MCU is not compatible with SMC version.
MCU does not set SMC address as Trap host IP address.
Port 162 on SMC is occupied.
Position ideas and solutions
1.Ping each other's IP on SMC and MCU, if neither of them is working (MCU cannot ping through SMC if SMC server is hardened and ICMP is not
enabled, but it can ping through MCU in SMC), then check whether the network connection is correct.
2.Check whether the MCU is in the list of manageable MCU, and if so, remove the manageable MCU to find it automatically.
3.Version does not match, many default parameter values are different, can not be found automatically. If the version is not compatible, even if the
parameters are modified, problems may occur in the subsequent addition and use. Please refer to the version supporting manual and upgrade or
demote MCU according to the requirements of the section of version supporting table in the SMC version specification.
4.Check whether the Trap function is enabled by MCU. Take HUWEI VP9630 MCU as an example, log in MCU, select [device management] ->
[SNMP configuration], and check whether "Trap host address" has SMC IP address. If not, please fill in the SMC address
5.Find the program that occupies the port by entering the find statement in CMD: check whether the port is occupied: netstat -ano | findstr 162
