maximum number of VRRP groups

Hi,

There are nearly 100 sites on the master switch. Now we need to add a standby switch and implement VRRP for these sites. However, after 64 VRRP groups are configured, no more VRRP groups can be configured. The following error message is displayed.

Error: The number of configured VRRP backup groups reached the upper limit.

Model: S5720-SI  software: V2R10

I searched the document and found the maximum number of  VRRP groups can be set by the  set vrrp max-group-number command.

However, it seems that our devices don't support this command. Any suggestion?

Hello,

In the  V200R010C00, only the S5720EI, S5720HI, S6720S-EI, and S6720EI support the set vrrp max-group-number command.

To change the maximum number of VRRP groups, you can only upgrade the device to V200R019C00 or later version, so the number of the maximum number of VRRP groups on the S5720SI can be set to 256.
