Hello everyone,

For an IPv6 tunnel, why does the destination IPv4 address need to be specified for a manual tunnel but not for an automatic tunnel?

Please help me! Thank you!

Hi Rengar,
When an automatic tunnel is used, the device can generate a destination IPv4 address based on the destination IPv6 address. However, a manual tunnel cannot be used.
For example, in a 6to4 automatic tunnel, the second and third segments are extracted from the specified IPv6 address (2002:0202:0202::1) and become the destination IPv4 address (2.2.2.2).
