Hello,
By default, only VLAN 1 has an IP address that can be used to login to the device.
If you want to log in to the device using only one IP address, you can use the management-vlan command to configure a VLAN as a management VLAN and set the IP address of the vlan as the 'management IP'.

For details, see https://support.huawei.com/hedex/hdx.do?docid=EDOC1100126515&id=EN-US_CLIREF_0177114665&lang=en

Hello,
Change the management IP address of an S1720-52GWR switch as follows:
Choose System > IP. On the page displayed, configure the switch information such as the management VLAN and IP address. By default, the switch obtains an IP address through DHCP. If the switch fails to obtain an IP address through DHCP, the switch uses the IP address of 192.168.0.1.
Perform the following operation to configure the switch to obtain an IP address through DHCP:
1. Choose System > IP.
2. Specify an available management VLAN for the switch and set IPAddress method to DHCP.
3. Click Apply to save the configuration.
4. Click Restart DHCP to obtain a new IP address.

Perform the following operations to configure a static IP address for the switch:
1. Choose System > IP.
2. Specify an available management VLAN for the switch, set IP Address Mode to Static, and enter an IP address, subnet mask, and gateway IP address.
3. Click Apply to save the configuration.
Thanks

Hi user:

1. Run
system-view

2. Run
interface interface-type interface-number[.subinterface-number]
NOTE:
- Only the S6720EI, S6720S-EI, S5720HI and S5720EI support sub-interfaces.
- Only hybrid and trunk interfaces on the preceding switches support sub-interface configuration.
- After you run the undo portswitch command to switch Layer 2 interfaces on the preceding series of switches into Layer 3 interfaces, you can configure sub-interfaces on the interfaces.
- After an interface is added to an Eth-Trunk, sub-interfaces cannot be configured on the interface.
- VLAN termination sub-interfaces cannot be created on a VCMP client.

3. (Optional) On an Ethernet interface, run undo portswitch
The interface is switched to Layer 3 mode.
By default, an Ethernet interface works in Layer 2 mode.
NOTE:
Only the S5720HI, S5720EI, S6720EI, and S6720S-EI support switching between Layer 2 and Layer 3 modes.

4. Run
ip address ip-address { mask | mask-length }
A primary IP address is configured for the interface.
By default, the IP address 192.168.1.253 255.255.255.0 is configured on VLANIF1 of the S1720GW, S1720GWR, S1720GW-E, and S1720GWR-E. No IP address is configured for an interface on other switches.
Each interface has only one primary IP address. If you configure a new primary IP address for an interface, the original one is deleted and the new primary IP address takes effect.

Thanks for your reply. I know that multiple IP addresses can be configured on a device. Can I specify one IP address as the only management IP address that can be used to log in to the device?

Hello,
The management interface is a Layer 3 interface that can be configured with an IP address. To configure an IP address for the management interface, you can run the following commands:

<huawei> system-view
[HUAWEI]interface meth 0/0/1
[HUAWEI-MEth0/0/1] ip address 192.168.1.2 24

Thanks
