MA5800 License Misunderstanding

Hello everyone!


I don't understand what licenses are necessary for MA5800 GPON access. Can someone explain to me what is these licenses: ONT Access license, Based on per ONT.  - It is probably only 3'rd party ONT, yes?

GPON port license, based on per GPON port  - It's probably for Flex-PON, yes? Is it obligatory for using GPHF? Basic Software package (Based on per host) - It's probably NMS, yes?

Hello, friend!


As for the question above your post, I think: 


1. A third-party ONT license is required for provisioning a third-party ONT. This license applies to all GPON boards.


2. A license is required to enable the XG/XGS channel on a flex-pon board. This license can be used only on a flex-pon board.

3. Apply for the two licenses and apply for them on the U2000.

This info don't applicable to my question. I see licenses for Stelnet, sftp, snetconf, scp - it is management and nithing more. My question about services, ports.

the GPON OLT license controls by the NMS ，different NMS license are different ， you are using U2000 ，NCE or Esight？

if no NMS system， no license control the ONT/ Flex PON . but for third vendor ONT ， by default the OLT not allowed it online .

So I assume that licenses are needed only for NMS and doesn't affect on CLI control& management
