Hi,

I'm trying to change a Line Profile for a MA5626 MDU through U2000 but when I try to apply the new profile it gives the error "The GEM configuration exceeds the specifications".

I've done this without issue on 20+ other MDUs on the same OLT, this is the only one that fails.

They're all running the same version, V8R312 C00.

The only difference I can see is that the failing one has a Service Profile associated with it and is using omci instead of snmp but no others do.

Here's the commands for working and non-working ones:

ont add 11 0 sn-auth "4857544353XXXXXY" snmp ont-lineprofile-id 5 desc "Bld E Sw1"

ont add 11 1 sn-auth "485754437BXXXXXX" omci ont-lineprofile-id 1 ont-srvprofile-id 0 desc "Bld E Sw2"

I'm hesitant to remove the MDU and add it again as it's a live site but that seems to be my last option.

Unfortunately we inherited this setup so I'm not sure of the historical config.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Thank you!

Confirmed: The MA5626 does not support the OMCI management mode.

Thanks!

Thanks, the question then becomes how can I change it to SNMP without removing it and adding it back?

Run the ont modify 0 0 manage-mode snmp command to change the management mode to SNMP without deleting the previous configuration.

Thanks again. I had to remove the IP to be able to modify the MDU but I was able to add it back immediately afterwards. I now have full access.
