Hi Community!

I have here a MA5616 and it shows the CLIP on most analog Phones, but on some Phones it does not.

I have a Phone in the Lab which does not show CLIP when attached to the MA5616, on a PSTN Line from local telecom company it works. If I connect a phone from another vendor on the same port on the MA5616 it shows the CLIP.

How do I troubleshoot this problem?

Is there a way to test the CLIP? I executed the following, but nothing happens:

diagnose

(diagnose)%%clip port 0/4/0 telno 1234 format ETSI

Are there some other settings or debugging options for this?

Your help will be appreciated.

Regards

Steve

Dear steve_huaw!
If other phones display CLIP, only one phone does not display CLIP, indicating that this function has been configured on the MA5616 side.

I suggest you use this command:

display mgpstnuser attribute { frameid/slotid/portid [ endframeid/slotid/portid ] | mgid terminalid [ span-area ] }

For example:

11

FSK-mode

Indicates the FSK calling line identification presentation (CLIP) mode, it is including BELL_202, CCITT_V23, and NTT.

TAS-mode

Indicates the CLIP TAS mode, it is including NO-TAS, DT-AS.

Thank you!

Thank you very much. You pointed me the right direction. I had to use "display sippstnuser attribute 0/1/0" and change the CLIP Format from SDMF (FSK) to ETSI. It works now. Thanks for your superfast help!

Hi liqiang185!

Hm, every port is configured with the default settings.
1. Where should I search and how to debug this?
2. What should the command "(diagnose)%%clip port 0/4/0 telno 1234 format ETSI" do in the phone? Should it display the number 1234 on the phone without ringing? Because this does not work, even on the phone which shows CLIP if I perform a normal call.

You can browse the product documentation for the MA5616 device, which has all the details you need.
