Luna 2000 frequent alarm ID 2068 when battery at 15% from some time

HiCoins as reward: 2 (problem unresolved)

Hi,

Every morning around 5 AM, i get the alarm ID 2068 . At that time, the battery is at is low 15% for 2 to 3 hours.

Usually the alarm clears automatically after 30 minutes or so and the battery starts charging again (the sun is up then and the PV start generating).

Two times in the last month, the alarm did not clear after 2 hours by itself and I had to manually reboot the system (turn off inverter and battery, wait 5  minutes and then turn them back on)

Before the manual reboot, non of the LEDs on the battery were on, which according to the manual means that the battery is in hybernation mode.

How can this be avoided ?

I have a SUN2000-3KTL-L1 inverter (SN HV20A0057847) and LUNA 2000 5KW battery set to maximum self consumption

Thank you

Hello, dear.

You can try to set the battery discharge cutoff SOC to lower, 10%. Or increase the battery capacity.

@erwinc it seems that the battery is not charged for a long time and SOC reach it's minimum it goes to "sleep mode" during the night and doesn't "wake up" in the morning. When any excessive power is present it is exported instead of being used to charge LUNA. Only when you turn it on manually again, it starts to be charged.

The issue may be related to that fact that you enabled the black start button first.

What is the black start button role?

1. If no PV module is configured, press the black start button first.

2. When the battery SOC is 0%, hold down the black start button for 5s to activate the battery in order to recharge the battery. Check the recharging steps in the manual.

When the battery is charge is not necessary to press the black start button, only the DC switch of the battery is ok.

Basically, you can try like this to solve the problem:

1. Power off inverter and battery also the black start button off

2. Disconnect the communication cables, wait the battery LED off

3. Check again the connection between the battery and inverter

4  Power on the battery only DC switch no black start button

5. Power on the inverter

6. If all connected properly the battery will work normal

7. If the Enable+\Enable cable is not connect well, the inverter will have an alarm of 2068-3

Question regarding your post Confucius:

On the left side of the Luna there is a "start button" with a white rubber cap. Is this the start button thathat you mention as the "Black start button"?

If an Luna is somehow in Hibernation(without giving any alarm). What is then best to do?
A1: to start the luna up on a way that is not damaging the Luna or M1 inverter? Can the button be pressed?
A2: is there a way to restart the luna when in inverter with PV is attached? Maybe turning dc switch on Luna of and on?
B: where to look for a solution to solve this, since there is no alarm. Only the fact the Luna goes in hibernation

Thanks

@Robert2020 -->the START button (with rubber cap) is the black one on the top left side of the battery and the DC switch is located on the top right side of the battery.

Also, your inverter recored Alarm 3000/ID 1 - Low battery DC input bus voltage:

Please have a look below and check them one by one, something seems abnormal there:

Hello.

I do having same situation with a different customer. 20% SOC was reached in the night around 01:30 am and on 05:30 am the battery is offline with ID 2068 1.

Was there a final solution for this case here ? Was the battery replaced ?

Thank you!

I think you could try Confucius's advice. Chances are you've drained the battery.

Hi.

Clearly no, the battery did reach Soc 20% in the night which was correct for configured SOC. The battery "get's lost" around 5:29 am in the morning. Battery was not enabled in the morning after sun was coming out. The cables are checked and are all fine and correct. I do known by now from 3 customers with the same scenario > Luna do not start in the morning, Is it possible that there is a series of M1 modells with a production problem for the enable signal ? 135 is inverter+

Check whether LUNA has been upgraded to V100R002C00SPC104,
if already SPC104, email to eu_inverter_support@huawei.com with SN and Detailed questions

The EN enable cable is not properly connected when the inverter fails to activate energy storage.

If the LUNA can be powered on in black startup mode, but the SUN2000 cannot wake up the energy storage and alarm 2068-3 is generated during startup, there is only one possibility that the Enable+\Enable-cables between SUN2000 and LUNA is not properly connected.

upgraded to  version SUN2000-M0/M1 V100R001C00SPC135, SUN2000-L1 V200R001C00SPC112, or LUNA2000 V100R001C00SPC104,

Hello, this is my final statement for the Luna "Power On Problem in the morning".

The inverter is a 8KTL-M1 and Luan2000 5kW. Inverter is having 135, Dongle 119 and Luna is having 104.The Problem was , that Luna2000 do not "wake up" in the morning to start again automatic charging, all settings are set in FusionSolar.

The reason for this problem was, that many installers do install also BYD Systems. BUT BYD systems do need to press a dedicaded start button to power up the battery !!!  So, installing Luna2000, the installer do also press the "startbutton" on Luna , but in Luna case it is the "Blackstartbutton" which would not be required ! Luna do not leave thaa mode until you do following the procedure above to solve it

My suggestion to Huawei is, to have a big red mark in the documents NOT to Press the "StartButton" on Luna2000 when installing the battery for the first time   i_f01.gif

It is not recommended that Huawei inverters be configured with batteries from other vendors. This cannot ensure technical compatibility.

Hey Timfocus. What procedure above do you mean ? I'm experiencing the same problem, of course. Weeks later still no solution by Huawei.
