LTE virtual UE tracing is used to trace signaling and basic monitoring data (such as the throughput, signal quality, packet loss over the air interface, and voice MoS) of a single UE. It is applicable when the serving eNodeB cannot be obtained.
If an eNodeB and an MME are managed by the same U2000, virtual UE tracing does not need to and cannot be started. In this scenario, all eNodeB data is collected by E2E tracing of the MME. Virtual UE tracing is required only if an eNodeB and an MME are managed by different U2000s, because eNodeB tracing data cannot be collected by E2E tracing of the MME.
LTE virtual UE tracing requires the trace reference number specified when a tracing task is created. For details about how to create a tracing task, see section2.2.11"LTE/EPC End-to-End User Trace."
1. Log in to the U2000, and chooseMonitor > Signaling Trace > Signaling Trace Management.

2. In the navigation tree, chooseTrace Type>Global>LTE Virtual UE Trace.
In theLTE Virtual UE Tracedialog box, enter the tracing name and user trace ID in to theTrace NameandUser Trace IDtext boxes. TheUser Trace IDmust
be identical to that specified in section2.2.11"LTE/EPC End-to-End User Trace."

ClickOK.
3. The status Running indicates that the task is successfully created.

4. When the tracing task is complete, click Export to export the traced signaling messages.
