You can take the HCIP R&S exam directly. The HCIP R&S exam requires three exams, HCIP-Routing & Switching-IERS, HCIP-Routing & Switching-IENP, HCIP-Routing & Switching-IEEP.

But HCIP R&S is on the verge of being replaced by HCIP datacom, which will be taken off the shelves at the end of the year. It is recommended that you take the HCIP Datacom exam directly.

As you've graduated in Computer Science, it won't be a difficult task for you to pursue your career in networking. It is recommended that you learn and pass the prerequisite H12-211 HCIA-Routing & Switching Exam (Associate level) first so that you can have a comprehensive and thorough understanding of small and medium-sized networks, including general network technologies, as well as the ability to design small and medium-sized networks independently and implement the designs using Huawei routing and switching devices.

The HCIP-Routing & Switching certification is a professional-level certification for ICT professionals or students interested in datacom network technologies. To get this certification you need to pass three exams:

• H12-221 HCIP-Routing & Switching-IERS;

• H12-222 HCIP-Routing & Switching-IENP;

• H12-223 HCIP-Routing & Switching-IEEP.

According to the Huawei official announcement by Q4 2021, the Huawei Datacom Certification will completely replace the Routing & Switching Certification. So, you're recommended to take the HCIP Datacom exam.
