Logical port Role on Dorado V6 to connect a quorum server

Hi guys,


I am configuring a HyperMetro Domain but when I add a Quorum Server to register e quorum links, there are no Storage Ports available to select in Local Quorum Links and Remote Quorum links sections.


I would like to know which the role of Logical ports (service, management or replication) I must be setted up.


I am not  found any information on Dorado Documentation about this.

Dear Caco,

In the active-active DC solution, it is recommended that a quorum server be deployed at a third site to perform arbitration. The quorum server and two DCs can be connected by a GE or 10GE network.


A storage system can use either an independent front-end port or a management port as the quorum port. The following describes their respective network connections.


You can use a Front-end Port or a Management Port as a Quorum Port.


For OceanStor Dorado 3000 V6, Dorado 5000 V6, and Dorado 6000 V6, each controller of the storage systems must have quorum links. 

For OceanStor Dorado 8000 V6 and Dorado 18000 V6, each quadrant of the storage systems must have quorum links.

NOTE:

The requirements for the management ports that can connect to the quorum server are the same as those for the single-DC deployment.

Dear little_fish,

I've read and reread all the related documentation ( Hypermetro Feature Guide) and found that snippet of documentation that you mentioned. I found the section that says "the port used for the quorum links can be a management port or a front-end port", however, at no point is it described which role this port is in the moment of the creation of the Logical Port. Through trial and error I found that Role should be "Replication" but that's not described anyw

Considering a Dorado V6, all the network configuration is defined on Logical Ports + its Role (Service, Management or Replication)

I remember this, but which ROLE should I configure for Demo_Lif Logical Port to be available in this drop-down list? I have tested all Roles and only Logical Ports with the REPLICATION Role will be available in this configuration. Is correct?
