Today I will share with you how to locate device problems by collecting logs.
When the collected fault information can not help the user to locate the problem, you need to collect the device log, and locate the problem with the device history log.
The eDesk tool supports to download device logs with two ways :
1. File transfer mode: Uses SFTP or TFTP protocol to download the device log file.
2. To download device logs using the SFTP protocol, you need to configure SFTP parameters. For details, see "Configuring SFTP Parameters" in the Global Configuration section.
3. Command-line mode: refers to the device through the command line to download the log file to the local.
The steps are as follows:
On the Home page, select Troubleshooting>Collect Fault Information.
Select the device.
• For devices that have been added to the tool
• Click the Select Device tab.
• Select the device you want to add and click Add.
