Hi there, Community!

This post enquires about the local-user privilege level. Pleaase see more details as you read further down.

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

I am in the process of deploying a stack of  2 x CE6855-48SQ-HI switches version 8.120

(CE6855Hi V200R001C00SPC700) with Patch Version: V200R001SPH010.

Huawei CE6855-48SQ-HI switch

When I'm trying to add a local-user under aaa, I can only configure the priviliege level 0 - 3 and cannot have level 15.

This is the same as trying to add the priviliege level under the vty section as well. Is there a hidden command to enable local-user to be set to privilege level 15?

Thanks,

Colin

If the command-privilege level rearrange command has been executed, the value of level ranges from 0 to 15. If the command-privilege level rearrange command is not executed, the value of level ranges from 0 to 3. During a switch reboot or ISSU, the value of level larger than 3 is restored to 3.

Example
# Change the levels of the current commands in batches.

<HUAWEI> system-view
[~HUAWEI] command-privilege level rearrange

Yes this command was helpful in finding the maximum user level as i was confused earlier that level 1 was considered highest privilege level.
