Live Video Cannot Be Watched

Applicable Models

This fault may occur on all IPC models.

Symptom

You cannot view live video of an IPC.

Possible Causes

Controls are not installed properly.

Solution

1. Open Internet Explorer, choose Tools > Internet Options > Security > Trusted sites > Sites, click Add, add the IPC's IP address as a trusted site, as shown in Figure 1.
   
   Under Tools > Internet Options > Security > Internet > Custom
   
2. level, set Download unsigned ActiveX controls and Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe for scripting in ActiveX controls and plug-ins to Enable, as shown in Figure 2.

1. Download and install the media player control following the onscreen instructions.
   NOTE:

   When a message indicating automatic recovery is displayed during the control installation, ignore the message and continue with the installation. When the control is loaded completely, the system automatically switches to the login page.

2. Check whether the fault is rectified.

   If yes, the procedure ends. If no, contact your service provider for assistance.
