every so often the link of an Eth-Trunk goes down. 


here the xgi0/0/12 went down:

Hi,
The display interface command can be used to check whether the interface status is normal, such as the duplex mode, rate, negotiation mode, and error packets.
In fact, there are many causes for the Ethernet interface to frequently alternate between Up and Down states. Please refer to the following link for troubleshooting.

Hi fsoto,
The sudden traffic volume change percentage in the outbound direction of an interface exceeded the trap threshold.
Possible Causes: A loop occurred on the Layer 2 network.

Can I change the trap threshold?

The Eth-Trunk is connected to an OLT Calix in Layer2 with two vlans

I think the threshold logs is because the link down...and not the other way around
