This post relates to the LDAP server status being BAD after the successful cluster installation.

Symptom

After a cluster is successfully installed, the service status of the LDAP server is BAD. As a result, the service statuses of some other components are also BAD.

Cause analysis

1. Check the LDAP server mode. It is found that the HA mode is not used.

2. Check the status of the two LDAP server instances. It is found that both instances are in STANDBY state.

3. Check the LDAP_PROVIDER_IP configuration item. It is found that its value is neither of the instance IP addresses.

Solution

Step 1. In non-HA mode, set LDAP_PROVIDER_IP to the management IP address of either of the two LDAP server instances.

Step 2. Restart the LDAP server service and related services.
