Are the layer 2 switches soon to be replaced bay the L3?
What's the main reason they still coexisting in nowadays?

Although Layer 3 switches also support Layer 2 services, the cost of layer 2 switches is cheaper.

In some scenarios that do not require a gateway, such as using a Layer 2 switch at the access layer is a more reasonable choice.

No, layer 2 switch wouldn't be replaced by the layer 3 switch. Cause layer 2 switches have higher cost performance when used as the access switch.
