On a WDM OTN network, the hard pipe encryption solution based on the AES-256 encryption algorithm is used to encrypt L1 services, achieving low bandwidth usage, low latency, and high reliability of services.


Layer 1 encryption is applicable only when the transmission equipment meets the following device version requirements:
