service identification of L2VPN depends on VLAN ID / EVC where as service identification of L3VPN depends on IP address.

Packet Forwarding of L2VPN is By MAC Address and/or VLAN ID, Packet forwarding of L3VPN is by IP Address

Fault Management of L2VPN is ByLink Trace, Continuity Check Loopback Fault Management of L2VPN is Traceroute, ICMP Ping
