Compared with the MPLS L2VPN technology, the traditional L2VPN (ATM and FR) has the following disadvantages:
a.   Because OC-192c/STM-64 is not supported, they are not fast enough.
b.   The VPN is limited to a single medium, and the networking mode is not flexible.
c.   Complex configuration, difficult maintenance, and poor scalability.
d.   The security and confidentiality are poor.
