kunlun 9008 disable IPMI

As disabling the IPMI LAN function in the user only disables the user access to IPMI function but does not fully disable the service. If you would like to fully disable IPMI service, the only method is to disable RMCP as IPMI uses RMCP for the remote function.

Using the command line to turn the interface off the command line to shut down the interface even if the user has the ability to set IPMI LAN

Logon to the CMC Command line interface of the Kunlun 9008 using PuTTY SSH to disable rmcp

a) Login values:


b) After logging into the CLI, enter the command

smmset –d rmcp –v disable [To disable RMCP]
smmset –d rmcpplus –v disable [To disable RMCP+]
